Choosing a 510-thread battery (without overthinking it)
Every pre-filled cartridge we sell, and nearly every cartridge sold anywhere, uses the same 510-thread connection. The name is just the thread spec: ten threads at half a millimeter. Because the standard is universal, the battery is the one piece of hardware you get to choose, and it is the piece that makes or breaks how a cartridge actually performs. Here is what matters and what does not.
Voltage matters more than anything on the box
Thin, refined distillate vapes fine at low voltage. UNCUT wax like ours is thicker, and it wants a little more power behind it. For most of our uncut CBD cartridges, the sweet spot sits between 3.3 and 4.0 volts. Run it too low and the draw feels weak; run it too high and you scorch the wax, and the flavor goes with it. A variable-voltage battery lets you find the exact spot where the draw is full and the flavor stays clean, which is why every kit we stock has one.
Capacity is about your day, not the spec sheet
Battery capacity is measured in mAh, and the honest translation is charging frequency. A compact pen around 350mAh covers casual use with a nightly charge; bigger cells mean charging every few days instead. All of our kits charge over USB, so the answer to a dead battery is any port in the house.
Do all cartridges fit?
If it is a standard 510-thread cartridge, yes. Ours, and anyone else's. We are not interested in locking you into proprietary hardware; that is a move for the other guys. The exceptions are pod systems and closed proprietary carts, which use their own connections by design.
Preheat, and why you might want it
A preheat function warms the wax before you draw, without you pulling on the mouthpiece. With high-potency uncut wax, especially in a cold room, that first warm-up makes the difference between a clogged first pull and a clean one. Do all CBD cartridges fit a 510 battery?
Short answer: Any true 510-thread cartridge fits a 510 battery. The one exception in our lineup: the Elite kit does not work with our NEW white cartridge design.
Long answer: 510-thread is the universal connector, so cartridges and batteries mix and match, ours or anyone else's. Our current white carts are the new cartridge design though, and the Elite is built for the earlier generation: pair the white carts with the Pre-Heat Kit. Wax pods are a closed system of their own and only run on the SMART Pod kit.

Long answer: Lifespan depends more on charge cycles than calendar time, letting it fully drain before recharging and avoiding overcharging both extend life. Our Elite and Smart Pod kits include voltage control, which reduces strain on the battery compared to a fixed single-voltage device.
How do I charge a 510 battery, and how long does it take?
Short answer: USB charging, typically 1-2 hours for a full charge.
Long answer: Each kit ships with its own USB charging cable, plug it into any standard USB port or wall adapter. Charge time varies slightly by battery capacity across our three kits, but none require an overnight charge; a quick top-off between sessions is normal.
What voltage should I use for CBD cartridges?
Short answer: Start low, 2.7-3.1V, since uncut wax is thicker than distillate.
Long answer: Our Elite and Smart Pod kits offer adjustable voltage (roughly 2.5V-4.0V depending on model); low settings preserve flavor and slow-burn uncut wax properly, while higher settings can scorch it. The Pre-Heat kit runs fixed voltage and is built for simplicity if you'd rather not adjust anything.
Which batteries work with which cartridges and pods?
Short answer: The Pre-Heat and Elite kits are 510-thread and built for FTP cartridges; the wax pods only pair with the SMART pod kit.
Long answer: The Elite Premium kit is 510-compatible with a magnetic connector ring sized to FTP cartridges, but it does not work with our new white cartridge design (the current white carts), so pair those with the Pre-Heat Kit. Pods are a closed system: SMART pod battery only.
