Dark CBD Tinctures
You’ll notice that we describe our FTP full spectrum CBD oil tinctures as “dark.” That simply means that they are unrefined and rich in CBD and the other botanical compounds, antioxidants, and nutrients that make the hemp plant so great.
CBD Tincture FAQ's
We haven’t tried using them as eyedrops, though...that sounds like a bad idea. Massage oil is an absolute yes, that one we’ve tried.
Our products contain unrefined, full spectrum cannabis CBD extract blended flawlessly with organic coconut-derived MCT oil. You can call them tinctures, oils, or whatever you want!
Tincture FAQ
What is a CBD tincture?
Short answer: A liquid hemp extract, usually taken under the tongue with a dropper.
Long answer: Ours is dark, unrefined full-spectrum CBD extract with nothing added to lighten or thin it. The line spans 600mg up to 14,400mg per bottle, so you can match bottle size to how often you use it.
What makes a tincture "dark" or unrefined?
Short answer: It's extract that hasn't been stripped of its natural color and compounds through industrial refining.
Long answer: Refining lightens hemp oil toward a "golden" appearance but removes cannabinoids, terpenes, and plant material at every processing step. We stop before that stage, so the tincture stays dark and carries the full extracted profile, the tradeoff for a less "pretty" bottle. The full story is in our what is unrefined CBD guide.
How do you use a CBD tincture?
Short answer: Drop it under your tongue and hold before swallowing, or add it to food or drink.
Long answer: Sublingual use (holding it under the tongue for 30-60 seconds) is the standard method since it skips digestion. Each bottle includes a marked dropper so you can measure a consistent mg amount per use instead of guessing.
What strength should a first-time tincture buyer choose?
Short answer: Start at the lower end of the ladder, 600mg or 1200mg, and reassess.
Long answer: Because potency scales with bottle size at a fixed concentration, a smaller bottle lets you learn your dropper-to-mg ratio before committing to a big one, like the 9,600mg high-potency bottle. Need 0.00% THC specifically? Our isolate tinctures are the zero-THC version of the same format.
Tincture vs. softgel, what's the difference?
Short answer: A tincture is liquid and dose-adjustable; a softgel is pre-measured and swallow-only.
Long answer: Tinctures let you fine-tune the exact mg per dropper, while softgels lock in a fixed mg per gel for convenience with zero measuring. Same unrefined full-spectrum extract either way, it's a format choice. See capsules & softgels for the swallow-and-go version.
